Lucan St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026: 35 Years of Celebration and Community Spirit
The Lucan St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026 marked 35 years since the first parade, bringing together families, schools, community groups, and visitors for a vibrant celebration. On a rare sunny day, the streets of Lucan came alive with colour, music, and Irish pride as the parade journeyed from Dodsboro to Lucan Village.
A Special Day for Lucan
This year we were honoured to have Liam Cullen as our Grand Marshal, in full dress uniform, and escorting the Colour Party. The Colour Party comprised of the combined Lucan Scouts: 23rd Lucan Scouts, 180th Lucan Scouts, 142nd Dublin Esker Scouts, and 48th Lucan Beavers Scouts.
The Crumlin Youth Band performed Amhrán na bhFiann, providing a moment of reflection on our national day and Irish pride.
Thank you our our wonderful volunteers who were up bright and early on a Tuesday morning to help us get ready for the Lucan St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026. Volunteers come from our local community, from the South Dublin Volunteer Centre, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Ireland, Lucan Tidy Towns, Lucan Men’s Shed, Women’s Collective Ireland Lucan, and the Transition Year students from St. Josephs College Lucan.
